O čemu se ovdje radi - What is it about ?

Ove stranice govore o maloj lozi Miškića iz Drenove kod Brčkog, Bosna, i o samoj Drenovi. Od kad su se doselili u to mjesto (prema predaji doselio se pradjed Mijo -Miško, Mišika- početkom 19.stoljeća) tu su Miškići živjeli i uređivali svoje mjesto (s drugim stanovnicima) te 70-tih godina 20-tog stoljeća mjesto (i vlastite kuće) uredili za komforni život (nove kuće sa svim kuhinjskim aparatima, kupaonice, struja, telefon, arterški bunar, i dr.).Sve je to uglavnom omogućio pečalbarski život po zapadnoj Europi, i uglavnom, njemačke marke (DM).

Godine 1992. srpski agresor s tzv. Jugoslavenskom narodnom armijom i srpskim (srbijanskim) paravojnim postrojbama okupirao je bosansku Posavinu pa i mjesto Drenovu (nalazila se u zloglasnom tzv. koridoru koji je vodio iz Srbije (preko Bijeljine, Brčkog, Banja Luke do Knina) do "Republike srpske" i "Republike srpske krajine") te sve opljačkao (doslovno: odnio je i opeku kojom su kuće građene, željezne ograde dvorišta, uništio arterški bunar, telefonske i strujne vodove, razorio cestu i dr.) i mjesto uništio do temelja (doslovno).

Tako su Drenovljani genocidnim metodama agresora, nakon 200 godina prebivanja u tom mjestu, izgubili rodni kraj i od tada mjesto zarasta u šumu koja samoniklo raste.

Sve se to dogodilo, eto, krajem 20-tog stoljeća, usprkos pričama (da se ne kaže: bajkama) o demokraciji, ljudskim pravima, civilnom društvu, nevladinim udrugama, tralala...I pored nastojanja Drenovljana da se vrate u svoj zavičaj, nitko od zapadnih demokrata ne pomaže, Drenovljani se rađaju, zapošljavaju, umiru, u tuđim krajevima...ta, život ne može stati a milost (dar) nisu nikad čekali niti od bilo koga dobivali.

Ove stranice pozivaju Miškiće i druge Drenovljane da ne zaborave zavičaja, da sačuvaju uspomene na njega, da se povežu u tim ciljevima, pa i koristeći ove (internetske) načine moderne komunikacije. Ove stranice su samo mali korak na putu do cilja a pružaju osnovne, početne podatke o genaologiji i dr., koji podaci podliježu ispravkama i dopunama.

Također se inicira upoznavanje i drugih Miškića (poznajem starosjedioce iz male Neretvice - konjički kraj - te Miškiće iz okolice Šibenika). Sada Miškića ima po cijeloj Hrvatskoj i zapadnoj Europu a zajedničko prezime, vjerojatno, nosi i nešto drugog zajedničko

These pages refer to a small branch of Miskic family from Drenova, near Brcko, Bosnia, and to Drenova itself. Since their moving to that place (according to the legend greatgrandfather Mijo -Misko, Misika - is the first who settled there) the Miskic family has lived and arranged their place (along with other inhabitans). During the 1970-ies they constructed their houses for a comfortable life, that were new houses with all of the kitchen appliances, bathrooms, electricitie, telephone, artesian well etc. It was all provided mostly by hard work in immigation, in western Europe, especially Germany.

In 1992. serbian aggressor with the so colled National Yugoslav army and serbian paramilitary organisations occupied Bosnian Posavina as well as Drenova which was placed in the notorious corridor (which led from Serbia across Bijeljina, Brcko, Banja Luka to Knin) and to "Republic of srpska" in Bosnia and "Republic of srpska krajina" in Republic Croatia. They sacked literary everything: the bricks that houses were built with, iron yardfences, destroyed artesian well, telephone and electricities wires, demolished the road etc. They leveled the place with the ground, literary.

So the people from Drenova lost their birthplaces (after 200 years of inhabiting it) thanks to the genocide methods of the aggressor. Since then the wood is growing wild everywhere at the place.

It all happened at the end of the 20^th ct. inspite of the stories (not to say faires) of democracy, human rights, civilian society, nongovernmental organizations and so on... Beside the efforts people of Drenova made to get back to their homeland, nobody of the western democrats helps, the Drenova people were born, take their jobs, die in foreign countries. Well, life can´t stop and the charity is not the thing they expected from anyone hor did they get it.

These pages invite the Miskic's and other Drenova people not to forget their momeland and keep memories of it, to keep touch at these aims by using these (internet) ways of modern communications. These pages are just a small step on the way to the goals and provide the basic informations of geneology etc, which are subject to corrections and supplements.

It also initiates the meetings of other Miskic's (I know the aboriginals from Small Neretvica - the Konjic area in Bosnia - and Miskic's from the places around Sibenik in Republic Croatia). Miskic's ara now spread along the Croatia and western Europe but the mutual last name, bears probably something alse in common.
